What is the best copywriting tip?

Continuing on into te study of copywriting I am wondering what is considered the most important copywriting tip anyone has ever been given?

There are many tips we learn as we go along in our studies.

  • Enter the conversation in your prospects mind.
  • Meet him where he is already at.
  • Copywriting is salesmanship in print.
  • The headline is the most important item in your copy.
  • Features are good but benefits rule.
  • Target your offer to a specific market.
  • As you write each part of your copy ask yourself the question “So what?”
  • Use bullet points and subheads to draw the reader into the copy.
  • Give logical reasons to backup the buying decision.

These are just a few of the tips I have learned and there are others I am learning on a daily basis. However in my studies I am still searching for what could be called the greatest tip for a copywriter to learn. What is the magic bullet which turns ordinary writing into eyeball grabbing mindsucking rabid response copy?

So that is the reason for the title. If you have an opinion on this then please leave it below.
